Katherine Wu
Katherine Wu, currently a freshman at UPenn, is a flutist for the Connecticut Lyme Light. She started playing the flute in 3rd grade, when she was just eight years old. Although her busy school schedule doesn't allow her to participate in the high school band, she has been a member of the prestigious Thames Valley Orchestra for four years. Katherine has been a flute teacher at the Southern Connecticut Chinese School since her freshman year of high school. She is also the Eastern Connecticut Conference Doubles Champion for girl’s high school tennis and secretary of the volunteer organization Chikumbuso, which raises money for destitute villages in Africa.
